About Gary
A graduate of the Unilever UCMDS programme, Gary built a marketing and sales career which spanned Unilever, Colgate, Robinsons Soft Drinks, Dixons and Virgin. He became CEO for BT Home Communications and MD for Belkin Northern Europe.
From May 2015 to May 2019, Gary was an elected member for Central Bedfordshire Council. During this term in office Gary was promoted onto the Cabinet as lead Member for the All Age Skills Strategy. He was also Chair of the Scrutiny Panel for Children's Services, a Board Member of SEMLEP and a Governor for ELFT.
He developed a passion for working with the NHS and was asked by ELFT to step up as an Associate Non Executive Director. Due to conflicts of interest, Gary was unable to continue his role at ELFT when he took on the NED role at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. In this new role Gary Chairs Adult Community Services, is the lead NED on IT and serves on the Quality and Estates Committees.
