MIPA (Member Insolvency Practitioners Association)
BSc (Hons) Geography - University of Loughborough

Andrew qualified as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2009. He previously worked at two London based insolvency practices before joining Turpin Barker Armstrong in 2009 becoming a partner in 2015.

Andrew heads up the West Byfleet office and focusses on two main areas by leading our large restructuring matters and also assignments involving complex investigations including fraud.

His corporate recovery and turnaround assignments involve working with business owners, lenders, creditors and other stakeholders from an advisory perspective through to formal insolvency procedures. His sector experience has been varied and his work has involved assisting many small owner manager businesses through to dealing with several high profile restructuring assignments.

Significant cases include:
Healthcare clinics – engaged on advisory basis by Board along with engagement with key stakeholders to ensure rescue of the business via pre-pack sale;

Pub-restaurant group – appointed Administrator to secure sale of profitable elements of the group and orderly wind down of remaining premises;

Retail labour supplier – engaged on an advisory basis which resulted in avoidance of insolvency and a sale of the business as a going concern to an unconnected party;

Manufacturing business – advisory engagement to the Board and key stakeholders to secure sale of business and assets to competitor;

Waste disposal business – undertaken significant investigations to identify debtor collusion and fraud claims;

Building refurbishment business – creditor appointment resulted in investigations uncovering claims against director, furlough fraud and amongst other claims;

Vehicle repairs business – investigations uncovered fraudulent activity and claims against directors and multiple third parties.

Property Receiver – engaged by lender on contentious assignment resulting in repayment of indebtedness.

Government services provider – management of orderly sale and handover of business and assets including Government contracts. Engagement with multiple Government agencies.
