I founded The Giving Heart three years ago and provide strategic income generation and fundraising advice on a range of cultural and health projects and interim roles, in relationship fundraising. I have worked with East of England Co-Op and St Elizabeth Hospice, as well as artists, community interest groups and statutory bodies. From creation of a fundraising road map fundraising delivery and donor management, I can cover it all and train those I work with to carry on.

I have worked in the charity sector or the past 10 years ,firstly as Corporate Fundraiser for Snape Maltings, the international music and education charity set up by composer Benjamin Britten.
The first 20 years of my career was spent working in sales and account management for global professional services including Thomson Reuters and Computershare. My clients included Macquarie Group, HSBC Bank, Reuters, Repsol and Banco Santander with a portfolio value of over £8 million.

I’ve reached a point in life where work and values intersect; enabling passionate people to do even more good work in the arts, heritage and health sectors. It’s fantastic to be a facilitator in so many different arenas, sharing the store of ’banked' knowledge, from many sectors.

I also coach CEOs and Senior Leadership Team members in income generation and donor management, drawing on my extensive business and account management experience. As a coach and mentor with BGCN Coaches and the government’s Mentoring for Growth - Be the Business initiative, I provide mentoring support for CEOs and Directors of Fundraising at regional and national level.

Currently, and for the last 6 years I have served as a trustee on the board of award-winning mental health charity, Suffolk Mind (Turnover £2.8m). Governance, safeguarding, risk management, commissioning , service agility and care quality are all part of our board remit, caring as we do for people at all ends of the mental health continuum including for those with severe and enduring mental health issues.

I’m here to find peers for whom my commercial and not-for-profit governance, growth and leadership expertise can add value to their work. I’m interested in remunerated, non-executive roles and interim roles. I look forward to meeting you.
