About David
A highly experienced tech / fintech entrepreneur, specializing in creating value within disruptive businesses, David is actively seeking Board Advisory and NED roles within Private Equity / VC portfolio companies looking to strengthen and support existing C-suite boards to grow and scale.
Over the last 25+ years, David has launched and scaled a number of disruptive start-up / early-stage companies in the tech sector from fintech / payments to mobile/IoT in the UK / Europe and North America. He’s also raised VC investment for a global roll-out including two acquisitions, culminating in a successful exit to a Tier 1 mobile operator.
David has worked in financial services for the last 7 years , including leading an FCA-regulated cross-border payments FinTech start-up from MVP development through to multi-market roll-out across the EU / EEA. Additionally he has been a mentor for two accelerator hubs, supporting numerous founders through their journey.
David is also an experienced interim consultant, having a wide-range of commercial roles across different tech sector verticals, including developing the GTM strategy for a $100M US IoT business. He has also worked with multiple businesses in helping them with investor-readiness, pitch deck building and raising funding / investment.
In addition to being an advisor and mentor to a number of young entrepreneurs, David is currently leading a funding round for a new social impact fintech for good start-up, which will enable everyday financial inclusion for society's most vulnerable people.
Based in York and London, David is also open to opportunities throughout the UK.
