About Fiona
Currently a Non-Executive Director at Midcounties Co-operative, a £1bn turnover retail co-operative running a portfolio of businesses including food, funeral, pharmacy, energy, telecoms, travel and childcare. I am also a Pensions trustee.
I was a member of the leadership team of a retail telecoms business for 15 years so I have hands on experience of running a business and working with a board. Originally a physicist, prior to this I worked for 15 years in technology development. Over the years I have introduced many new products, managed programmes, lead teams, built strategy and managed pricing and suppliers. Passionate about sustainable products, I introduced Fairphone to the UK; a smart phone with a transparent supply chain and components that are sourced ethically.
I also have experience of finance, regulation, ethical policy formation, operations, billing and risk management. Not afraid to challenge, I can bring to a Board a critical and analytical mind and would contribute effectively to discussions.
