Guy's career focus has been technology-based business performance improvement, predominantly in the Consumer, Retail, Distribution, and Leisure industries.
Initial work in Oil & Gas and Management Consulting, led to internationally-based global CIO roles with GKN/Brambles, English Welsh & Scottish Railway, Deutsche Bahn (DB Schenker Rail), EuroCargo Rail and TNT Express.
Following a brief period running the European arm of a US-based Systems Integrator (UST Global), Guy co-founded Digital Decision Limited, a Management Consulting business focused on portfolio companies owned by Private Equity focused on driving their value creation processes.
Digital Decision has subsequently grown to be a broad technology-based consultancy with clients in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. European clients include many of the principal PE firms, Sainsbury’s, Clarks Shoes, Butlin’s, Haven Holidays and Warner Hotels and with teams on assignment in the Middle East, Africa and continental Europe.
During his career Guy has been part of the leadership of a several start-ups across technology, digital media and transportation.
Guy's experience, whilst broadly in the application of technology to business performance, has strength in depth with Information Security and Risk Management (including Privacy and Compliance), BI Data Science and Analytics and B2C Digital in Retail and leisure industries.
Guy is a Non-Executive Director of several businesses:-
Daemon Solutions Limited - the Cloud, DevOps and Performance Engineering specialists),
Validify - the technology innovation platform business
Kultrulab - delivering employee loyalty and HR solutions
Transport Research Foundation - a leading consultancy and software provider to Transport globally In addition to being co-founder of Digital Decision.
Guy has extensive Board experience, having been on the Main Global Board of TNT Express (based on the Netherlands), DB Schenker Rail (Germany), Clark's Shoes (UK) and Bourne Leisure (UK).
Guy graduated with an MA from Cambridge in Engineering and undertook further Degree level studies at ENSAM Paris in Vibration and Acoustics.
