Mark is an Investment Director at Spark, who he joined in 2016. Prior to this, Mark spent the majority of the past decade at Merseyside Special Investment Fund where he was responsible for the firm’s equity investments of unto £2m.

An experienced corporate financier and investor, he has also held roles in global industry, regional private equity, and both global and regional professional practice over his career.

From an industry perspective at British Nuclear Fuels Limited, he spent four years as Group Corporate Finance Manager, playing a fundamental role in a number of national and international corporate transactions alongside various other commercial finance projects.

He originally qualified as an accountant at “big 4” accountancy firm Ernst and Young, before moving into their Corporate Finance team where he spent five years advising numerous companies, management teams, and investors on a wide variety of mid-market transactions across the North of England’
