• Substantial board level and Non-executive Director experience
I have over 25 years board-level experience both as an MD/CEO and also as an advisor and consultant to boards of companies in the engineering and manufacturing sectors, and public sector healthcare (acute, community and social care).
• Strategic and Commercial Expertise:
I have more than 25 years commercial and strategic experience, gained from within organisations with turnovers from c. £700k to £170m and from 10 to 2,500 employees, taking products and services from concept to roll-out. I have enjoyed extensive involvement in engineering and manufacturing businesses, domestically and overseas, within a wide range of product sectors from agricultural machinery to defence to domestic appliances. Specifically through my non-executive directorships, I developed and significantly contributed to strategies that included the creation of a radical and innovative solution to organisational form through to resolving service delivery challenges.
• Commercial and government connections:
I am privileged to hold a number of significant and senior connections within business and Government, and continue to develop new connections and relationships. These have been established through my work as Director and client-facing Consultant, and also through my non-executive roles where understanding nuances and political imperatives, negotiating ways and means to achieve success has ensured the commitment of the widest variety of stakeholders to implement often contentious strategies.
• Availability:
I am most fortunate to be able to offer great flexibility and sufficient time to fully commit.
