Led Company from initial investment at £10M revenue and £2M EBITDA to £21M rev and forecast £4.3M EBITDA prior to COVID-19. Grew customer base, expanded into Germany, US and Korea, built high-performing team and defined growth strategy pushing into low-carbon, sustainable fuels.

Commercial Director and EVP of mid-sized speciality chemicals Group, responsible for 4 business units with annual revenues in excess of €500M. Secured approval for the merger of Haltermann and Petrochem Carless to form HCS from the EU Mergers Commission. Refined commercial strategy for the business, implemented robust risk management practices and delivered over €4M p.a. of post-merger synergies.

Led the formation of the refinery Supply and Trading team following acquisition of BP Chemicals by Ineos Group. Secured and optimised over 400kbd of crude oil feedstock and delivered around €160-200M of trading optimisation profits. Defined and executed refinery margin hedging strategy (worth over $126M in 2009). Led operational negotiation and execution of complex joint venture with Morgan Stanley in 2008, and then the formation of the oil trading team with PetroIneos in 2011 following divestment of 50% of the business to Petrochina.
