Cera Care is a home care provider, an innovative Tech and Healthcare organisation with major investment to rapidly grow the existing branches and acquire new services nationally. Primary services are domiciliary and live-in care focusing on public sector contracts currently with approx. 10,000 hours per week service delivery and acquisition plans to purchase further domiciliary care organisations.

BUSINESS GROWTH MANAGER (Interim- Approx. 3 months)
As part of the senior operations team, my responsibilities were to grow service delivery across all sites (325 staff), lead branch-based integration for new acquisitions, work with the board on budgeting and growth models for financial stability. In addition to my growth objectives, I had responsibility for the operational success of branch integration and operational growth - exceeding agreed targets. Budgeting responsibilities were between £5-£10M. I have implemented scalable models to drive quality, recruitment & growth for existing branches & £30M acquisition.

I am the Chair of the North Warwickshire Registered Managers Network, the purpose of the network is to engage other registered Health and Social Care managers across North Warwickshire. A Registered Manager/Nominated Individual role can be very isolated so its very important to have a peer network you can tap into and engage with.

This Network offers support to other registered managers, have speakers from local authorities, NICE, CQC, NHS and many more for us to improve our knowledge and share best practices within the industry. The important thing about this Network is that it is a safe space for all registered managers can be very candid about the challenges they face on a daily basis to vent and about best to manage them.

It’s a privilege to engage other providers/registered managers and offer support to improve and shape our working practices.

Volunteer

I am a ward volunteer on mental day units and secured units in Coventry and Warwickshire. I love to be able to offer my time to support others, to be a shoulder for a patient to cry on and open up too or to be a distraction for a patients during their mental health struggles.

Giving my time and support is a relatively small thing for me to do but it has a massive impact on others on the wards I volunteer on when able. It improves a patients self-worth and confidence because another person wants to spend time with them and engage them. I love it!

I am a Skills For Care Icare Ambassador, I get the privilege to engage my community across Coventry and Warwickshire. I offer my time for local schools, colleges, jobs centres & other professionals to educate them about The Health and Social Care Sector which I Love!

The Health and Social Care sector is the fastest growing sector globally and has been for a few years now. We have an ageing population and we need more people to come into the Health and social Care sector and being an Icare Ambassador is helping us encourage people to work in this fabulous and rewarding sector. I get to engage with primary & secondary schools as well as colleges and talks to a wide age range of students about an industry I love. Championing the industry I work within is a very natural thing for me to do and being able to guide our next generation is such a privilege.
