I am a highly accomplished business leader specialising in launching and growing technology start-ups. I have also worked as an Investment Director leading the Software and Internet sector at Mercia Technologies, a UK-based tech VC investing from seed to Series A. Until Autumn 2017 I held the post of General Manager of LOGICnow leading up to its sale to SolarWinds Inc.

Following an early career with major plc’s in senior IT appointments, I have spent the last 18 years in the SME space taking technology companies from inception to fully operational trading entities. This has included launching new technologies that disrupt existing markets; re-engineering underperforming businesses; seeking buyers and completing the sale process; raising finance to support business expansion; de-merging trading companies; and completing M&A activities.

My core skills span operational management; strategic planning and execution; stakeholder management; investor relations; leadership; product development; sales & marketing and financial control.

An overview of my career includes the following highlights:

*Establishing a SaaS- based solution business HoundDog Technology that impacted the market and was subsequently bought out by GFI Software
*Growing the GFI MAX/LOGICnow business from a $6m business with 35 staff to $100m business with 500 staff in 6 years
*Successfully separating LOGICnow from GFI Software and building the business to achieve an exit to a major US-based software business
*Acting as Executive Chairman on behalf of Venture Capital firm to re-focus technology business

By drawing on my experience in technical roles as CTO and Head of IT Strategy; knowledge of SaaS, Managed Services, Cloud Computing, CRM and Security; and extensive involvement as General Manager of technology companies, I am able both to turn round poorly performing technology businesses and devise sustainable roadmaps and strategies that build scalable operations and enhance shareholder value.
