Gareth has spent the majority of his 24-year career in the marketing agency sector and for 15 years was the CEO and joint equity partner of his own successful agency. Working with some of the biggest clients in retail, his business achieved revenues of £12.5M and employed 175 people in offices in Leeds and London.

In 2017 Gareth successfully exited his agency. Since then, he has become an angel investor,
providing seed funding and advice to early-stage tech startups with a particular focus on AdTech and
MarTech.

He has also been mentoring a number of tech startup founders and agency owners, and was one of
4 finalists for the Mentor of the Year award at the National Mentoring Awards 2019. He is also one
of the founders of Tech Mentors Yorkshire, a mentoring initiative he set up by bringing together
accountancy firm RSM, and not-for-profit seed funding specialist NorthInvest.
Gareth created his consultancy, Beyond Noise, to enable him to use the expertise and the
knowledge he has gained over his career. He has established himself as a marketing agency
mentor in order to support, guide and improve the performance of marketing agency owners. He
enables them to achieve their goals and help their agencies get better, further, faster.
